HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY? JOIN THE 2015-2016 NEWSPAPER CLUB
Are you a good writer? Do you attend and keep track of school sports, student government, and special events? Are you interested in learning new journalistic skills? Do you like researching and interviewing people to discover the facts? Have you always longed to write a technology, beauty or advice column? Do you want to review books, video games, or movies? Are you a secret poet or fiction writer? Would you like to report on important news stories relevant to the students at Manhattan Center?
If you can answer “yes” to any of the above questions, the RamPage and MCSM’s weekly Newspaper Club needs you! The MCSM RamPage is an award-winning school newspaper that will look good on your college application forms as part of your list of extracurricular activities. Also, several English teachers are already giving students who write for the RamPage extra credit for the stories we publish, so our club can even help improve your GPA during the 2015-2016 school year!
The last official meeting of MCSM’s Newspaper Club for this year will take place Monday June 15, in Room 138, from 2:45 to 3:45 pm. Stop by if you would like to talk about joining the club or want more information. Also, current and future staffers should stay in touch over the summer with next year’s Editor in Chief, Roberta Nin Feliz. Email her with your questions or ideas for possible stories and columns.
