We have officially hung up our sunhats, stored our bathing suits, and returned to school for yet another year. That’s right, it’s fall! Personally, fall is my favorite season of the year. I love to feel a little bit of a chill without having to wear three layers of sweaters under a coat. My co-beauty-columnist Nazhaya wrote about some of her fall favorites. For my part, I’m going to share some of my favorites. My style is a lot girlier than Nazhaya’s so if girly is not your preferred style, refer back to Nazhaya’s piece and build your fall fashion from there.
This school year, I have become a big fan of simple outfits that include soft grunge colors such as black, white, burgundy, light gray, and hunter green. Below are a few items from Forever 21 and Aeropostale that I would put together into an outfit. These are two of my favorite stores to shop at because Forever 21 is very affordable and Aeropostale carries one of my favorite YouTuber’s clothing line.

These combat booties are from Forever 21. They cost $27.90. These types of booties can be found at almost any shoe store during the fall season as they are fall fashion essentials.
This olive green eyelet parka is from Aeropostale. It is modeled by my favorite YouTuber, Bethany Mota, as this is a piece from her fall clothing line. The jacket costs $48 but can also be found at stores like H&M and Forever 21 as well.
*I own this very jacket and I’ll be wearing it quite often before it gets too cold. Catch me wearing it in the hallways!
An outfit like this can be accessorized with any necklace of your choice or even a warm infinity scarf if it’s extra chilly that day. Other accessories such as earrings, bracelets, rings, and headbands/wraps are also things that can incorporated into your outfit to make it more unique and to your style.
Makeup is one other big way to make an outfit your very own. Many girls I know and am surrounded with are not big fans of makeup, but I personally am a big fan of it and I wear it everyday. I vary each daily face according to my mood (and also how much time I have in the morning). Below are some of my everyday essentials as well as some trends I love for the fall.
This product is also one of my must-have favorites for any time of the year. It helps to set all of your makeup and basically make it waterproof. The L’oreal Infallible Setting Spray can be found at any drug store for about $17. Although it seems pricey, a lot of other setting sprays can go for around $50 and don’t do the job. This spray will surely get the job done for this low price.
This is a Maybelline BB cream. This particular BB cream is very light, stimulates acne control, and is a great substitute for a heavy concealer or foundation. However, if you prefer concealer or foundation, Maybelline also carries them in a variety of shades. These products can be found in any drug store for around $8-10.

I love to give my face a bit of a sparkle by brushing on some ELF baked highlighter on some key points of my face. Since I am of a lighter complexion, I prefer to stick to lighter colors such as this pearly pink, however, there are many other colors you can buy to work with your skin tone. These can be found on eyeslipsface.com for about $3.
These are several fall color Maybelline lipsticks. These serve as a less expensive alternative to MAC lipsticks and come in different consistencies from creamy to matte finish. These can be found at any drug store for about $8-9.
Whether I have a wing tip or not on my top eyelids, I always wear black pencil eye liner on my waterline. I use the ELF Essential Brightening Eye Liner in black. This pencil liner comes in other colors as well. It can be bought on eyeslipsface.com for only $1.
This is the Falsies mascara by Maybelline. This mascara has almost the same brush as the Roller Lash mascara by Benefit and makes your end result lashes look like true “falsies”. This product can be bought at any drug store for about $8.
Eyelashes are one of the most important facial features to highlight when doing your makeup. This mascara is the Roller Lash mascara by Benefit and is my absolute FAVORITE, therefore becoming part of all of my makeup routines. The slightly curled brush helps to curl, lift, and lengthen every one your lashes. I personally do not have very long natural lashes, so this mascara helps to greatly lengthen them. The product can be bought at any Sephora store (or sephora.com) for $24. The price may be a little more sour than you were hoping for, but I have yet another alternative for you below
This is a nude eye shadow palette by Maybelline. It has a wider variety of nude and gold-like colors, which I feel work better for the fall time. This palette also totals to about $11 and can be found at any local drug store.
This is the Maybelline Blushed Nudes eye shadow palette. This palette has just about the same colors as the Naked 3 palette and can be found in any drug store for about $11. This palette just like the Naked 3 is perfect for everyday use or giving you fall look a girly sparkle.
As of recently, I have experimented with and grown to love eye shadow. The Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay is my favorite to use because the palette is strictly different shades of light pink and gold-like colors, which I think are perfect for everyday use. This product leans heavier on the pricing scale, totaling to $54. If this product is one of your must-haves and you can afford it, definitely purchase it. However, if this is a must-have but it’s too pricey for you, don’t worry, I’ve got another alternative for you below.
Okay, I’ll admit it. I am one of those girls with “fake” eyebrows. Because my natural eyebrows are very light, I use the Anastasia Brow Wiz religiously. This product is basically a brow pencil that comes with a brush on the other end. The Anastasia Brow Wiz can be purchased at any Sephora store (or sephora.com) for around $21 along with other eyebrow products that vary in price.
*I use this product every single day no matter what makeup routine I am currently following. It’s one of my absolute MUST haves and if you have any questions about the product and catch me in the hallway, don’t hesitate to ask!
I hardly ever wear blush because I personally feel that the color pops too much since I have a light complexion, but when I do I typically use one of the four colors from this ELF palette ever so lightly. This one can be found on eyeslipsface.com for $6.

On days I choose to step up my eye makeup, I’ll go for a wing tip using the Maybelline Master Graphic eyeliner. This product resembles a marker and is very easy to use. It can be found in any drug store for around $9.
Now you have a complete outfit and makeup to match, but you’re still missing one crucial thing… hair! Personally, I have very low maintenance naturally straight hair, so I tend to run my fingers through it in the morning and leave it down. However, When my hair starts to get a little greasy before I’m due for my next wash, I like to mask it up but using either my Conair Curling Wand (pictured left) or NuMe Curling iron (pictured right) to give my hair some shape and to distract from its slight dirtiness.
Below are a few other go-to hairstyles of mine that are fairly simple to recreate and incorporate into any outfit that you would like. I love these in particular because they had an extra girly flare to any style you go for.
