Since it is election year, I decided to get some teachers’ thoughts of the presidential race particularly, on the leading GOP candidate, Mr. Trump. They kindly responded to my questions and provided some insight on what they thought of the presidential race and on the future of America.
Teacher #1
– How will America look like if Trump becomes president?
– Umm…I am going to think positively. I hope that he will bring the country together, because everyone will be so much against him. That we all come together as one country.
– What do you think about Mr. Sanders?
– The more I learn about him, the more I am amazed about his whole career and everything he is focused on, especially on how much integrity he has as a politician and as a human being. I think very highly of him.

How will America look like if Mr. Trump becomes president?
– Oh boy, I worry anytime a person gets into politics just to prey on people’s fears. From what I know, he is a very successful business person. But that doesn’t automatically translate into being a good politician and doing it for the best interest for the majority of the people of the country and not just certain interests. I would be concerned if he becomes president.

– How will America look like if Mr. Trump becomes president?
– Hmm, maybe the economy might get a little better. But we will not be America because America is made out of different types of people like immigrants and that’s not just how it’s going to look if he becomes president. We would probably look like Nazi Germany without the killing of people part.
– Who do you think is the best candidate in your opinion?
– None. I really don’t like the presidential candidates right now.
Teacher #4
– How will America look like if Trump becomes president?
– Berlin after WWII. There will be dictatorship because he is a racist and narrow minded.
– Who do you think is the best candidate in your opinion?
– Hillary Clinton.

– How will America look like if Mr. Trump becomes president?
– I think he hasn’t discussed what his domestic and foreign policies are. Certainly he is a stellar businessman. But I am not sure how that will translate.
– Who do you think is the best candidate in your opinion?
– It’s hard to say. Certainly someone who has experience in some type of managerial position within government. Someone who is not going to be swayed by the machine of Washington because so many presidents are and they just go with the flow. As long as there is no problem, there is no problem. I mean we have Hillary, who is having some issues with lying about Benghazi, and we have Sanders, who is a socialist. But he also never had a job. So is he going to understand what working men suffer through taxation and such? We are limited in terms of better choices.

– How will America look like if Mr. Trump becomes president?
– It is a totally unknown factor because he can make decisions on a whim and we never know what can happen. If Trump wins the presidency and the House and the Senate are also Republican and if all the Republicans support him, we could have something moving in America. Right now we have a roadblock because Obama is a Democrat and the House and Senate are Republican. Things could happen. But we don’t know if it’s for better or for worse.
