Below are just a few of the pictures created by MCSM students for this year’s magnificent art show! The entire front hallway, including the front doors leading into our school were hung with both color and black and white images executed in various artistic styles. Whether using pencil, watercolor, or pastels, these artists have no trouble demonstrating their grasp of key principals like proportion, perspective, and use of negative space.
Whether experimenting with still life, or more abstract representations, our students let their imaginations fly. Although we are a STEM school, a number of our graduates are pursuing careers in art curation, and currently work with local museums and galleries. Even though many contemporary artists have migrated to the internet and digital media to show their work, the examples below prove that art still lives on paper and canvas IRL!
