On April 14th (just before Spring Break), Manhattan Center’s morning video announcements were chock-full of exciting updates.
To everyone’s delight, MCSM’s baseball team won 12-to-2 against JFK High during its first game of the season in April 11th. MCTV even broadcast spectacular footage of a home run hit that afternoon by senior Christian Aguilera.
Along with being encouraged to support all MCSM team sports (and our Drama Club’s upcoming production of Clue!), students were reminded to start practicing for the annual school Talent Show that takes place on June 1st. Show organizers are looking for dancers, musicians, rappers, poets, jugglers, etc. who wish to perform solo or in groups.
Another anticipated year-end event is senior prom—held this year at Terrace on the Park. The date was announced, along with the cost and deadline for ticket purchases. Prom tickets will be $130, with a $65 deposit due by April 25th.
Seniors are also asked to vote for winners in this year’s special yearbook categories before it is too late. Check PupilPath for Mr. Kwan’s instructions, and see the picture below for a list of available categories.
