Now that we are approaching our last two digital issues for the current school year, (and as we prepare to release our very first “spot color” printed edition! ) the MCSM Newspaper Club has chosen three new student editors who will be guiding the direction of the MSCM RAMPAGE next year.
Each of these worthy candidates has contributed regularly to our club, bringing us fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and insightful articles. Going forward they will work closely with all regular staffers to improve the quality and character of our publication. We still have room for a Photo & Art Editor, so if you are a current club member interested in this position, please contact Ms. Cooper at: cooper409@aol.com.

EDITOR IN CHIEF: Fariha Rahman [Duties: assigning and writing stories, helping recruit and train new reporters, scheduling weekly meetings and special events, assigning video profiles, writing weekly email blasts to staffers, helping run weekly meetings.
COPY EDITOR
COPY EDITOR: Samina Ahmed [Duties: helping edit stories on Google Docs; helping guide new reporters, helping secure illustrations or pictures, helping write headlines, coordinating theme issues and collaborative stories.]
MANAGING EDITOR
MANAGING EDITOR: Fariha Ahmed [Duties: coordinate fundraising activities, coordinate club trips, promoting monthly issues on social media and in school, keeping track of club equipment, facilitating communication between our club, school administrators, and other school clubs.

The RamPage thanks Ms. Jane Amendola, Principal David Jimenez, Mr. Abraham, Ms. Wang, Mr. Nicotri, PEN America, and all the Assistant Principals for their steady support of Newspaper Club activities. With their help, Newspaper Club will be moving to a new room next year. We have also been provided with our own computers, printer, digital cameras, and reporters’ notebooks, so that we can better serve the MCSM community with timely, well-reported stories. We hope all students interested in joining Newspaper Club will show up to our first recruiting meeting in September, and/or email the club advisor directly at cooper409@aol.com.
