MCSM’s CHEESIEST Club!

MCSM offers a variety of clubs and there is something for everyone here. One of our most unique clubs is surely the Cheese Club. When I first saw it on the list, I wondered: what exactly is a Cheese Club? How did it start? 
It was a Wednesday in March 2020. Exams were ending and the busy periods of cramming were coming to an end. Ms. Chu and Ms. Drmacich were discussing their love for cheese and they decided to organize a cheese party for themselves. Unfortunately, COVID-19 had hit around this time and the party, along with everything else, was canceled. There would be no cheese party or any party for a solid year. However, something good eventually came after in-person learning was finally safe to be enforced. We now have a Cheese Club!
So what can you expect when you enter the homely lair of the Cheese Club? When you first walk in, you will notice that it is a very social club. It carries the exuberant traits of a party! Talking, laughing, and eating cheese, what’s more fun than that? There’s a table right in the middle of the room, featuring all types of cheese. This month’s palette features Pepper Jack, Havarti, Buffalo Wing, and Peppadew cheese. Each type of cheese had its own flavor and consistency, from sweet to spicy and soft to hard. Along with trying out the variety of cheese, we also play movies in the backgroundー Ratatouille, of course! Ms. Drmacich always makes sure to keep things cheesy.

The cheese isn’t the only good part of this club. It’s another fun way to unwind and socialize after school. Invite your friends and talk to them about cheese or anything really. The Cheese Club is also very popular and filled with kind people, so if you go alone there’s always an opportunity to make new friends as well! If you want to experience MCSM’s cheesiest club, go to room 336 on the first Tuesday of every month from 3:30 pm until the cheese is gone!
